Well, it was quite a treat for the NYC Feed the Arts staff, as
well as thousands of others in Midtown Manhattan. Sir Paul
McCartney announced on Twitter that he'd be doing a surprise show
in Times Square. Luckily, Feed the Arts HQ is only a few blocks
      away.
We raced over, catching the attention of a few people who asked
us if we were going to the show. We joined thousands of people
standing on the sidewalk and in the street, behind barricades set
up by the NYPD. Sir Paul played 3 songs from his upcoming album "New,"
telling the crowd that they only allowed him 15 minutes to play.
He also joked "Same time tomorrow?" and kidded that they'd put a
hat out at the end of the show because they were busking.
After the band left the stage to a standing ovation, the crowd dispersed feeling enthusiastic and cheerful. It was a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
